Today started with a good 6 hours of sleep—I woke up around 6:45 AM, feeling slightly refreshed.
It was the second day of the Makar Sankranti festival here in Gujarat, and the celebrations continued with loud music, kite flying, and frequent electricity cuts due to the load. Because of the noise and disturbances, I couldn’t focus on any work and ended up resting most of the day.
With some free time, I decided to order gifts for my family. I got a few saris and kurtas for my aunt (who is like a mom to me) and my sister-in-law, and shirts and a watch for my father and uncle. It made me really happy to shop for them, knowing they don’t expect it and will be surprised.
I also spent some time researching insurance plans, particularly health and life insurance, as I’ve realized how essential they are. Just exploring options for now but aiming to make an informed decision soon.
For my daily walk, I decided to go after dinner around 7:30 PM instead of my usual evening routine at 5:30 PM. This was a new experience, and it was absolutely amazing. The freezing air combined with the sky lit by firecrackers created a mesmerizing atmosphere. I also noticed something unusual about the moon—it appeared as a full moon again, with a reddish-brown tint, even though it was supposed to be a waning gibbous phase. The clear skies allowed me to spot some stars and use the SkyView Free app to locate planets and constellations. It was such a relaxing and magical experience.
After the walk, I took a hot shower, which added to the relaxation and wrapped up the day perfectly.
Today, I walked around 5,307 steps, achieving my daily target of 5,000 steps. My total step count for the month is now 87,653.
