Oh, it's Monday again! I don’t have much work to do, but I managed to wake up around 6:45 AM, right when my alarm rang—this time, instead of turning it off, I actually got up (a small victory, haha!).
My workday started at 8:20 AM. I finally submitted the reports I’d been preparing for the past week regarding the testing of a new feature. The reports were uploaded to Jira and documented in sheets. I also attended three meetings today. During one of them, I explained my findings for the past week, but it was so frustrating trying to get the point across to people who’ve been in the company for 4 years yet couldn’t grasp simple things. Honestly, I feel the ones who deserve those seats don’t often get them. Anyway, I also worked on creating labs and preparing content for a session I’ll present to developers about security. Additionally, I prepared materials for an upcoming meeting with the CISO, Directors, CTO, and other team members.
The afternoon brought some unplanned chaos. While trying to trim my patchy beard, I forgot to connect the cord properly and accidentally trimmed it way too short. I ended up shaving my beard entirely for the first time—and let’s just say, I don’t want to look at myself in the mirror right now. I didn’t feel great about how I looked, so I went for a haircut to salvage things a bit.
Despite all that, I stuck to my routine and went on my daily walk at the usual time. I walked 6,039 steps today, bringing my total for the month to 117,347.
On a brighter note, I managed to reduce my mobile screen time to almost 2 hours! Maybe it’s because I spent most of my day working on my laptop or engaging in other tasks, but it felt good to step away from the constant screen time.
Finally, I took some time to reflect. Reading someone else’s reflections reminded me of the beauty in finding peace within simplicity. It also helped me understand the importance of respecting boundaries while valuing personal growth.I truly admire.
