It’s the second day of having the house all to myself, so I woke up early again—too early, actually—and made breakfast on my own. I’m getting pretty used to this solo morning routine now.
Today being a Saturday, most people at the company had the day off (perks of being a permanent employee), but as an intern, I still had work to do. I sent out the report for the bug I found yesterday. Since almost no one was working, I discussed it directly with the CTO. That was the only work I did today—not much else happening on that front.
Later in the day, I appeared for TSS HackQuest. Unfortunately, just as the contest started, the power went out. When I finally got back online and started the challenge, most of the tasks were down. I managed to solve only one challenge that involved decoding a cipher in ROT7 (pretty simple, honestly). After about two hours, the challenges were back up, but I couldn’t figure out any other solutions or flags. Frustrated, I uploaded my report for the single flag I solved and called it a day for that contest.
In the evening, I had another exam—this one was for Deloitte. It was a 45-minute test with 90 questions. I don’t even know what I submitted; it felt like a blur, rushing through the questions with barely enough time to think. Hoping for the best, I guess.
After that hectic day, I went for a walk, though it was a bit later than usual. Walked for about 30 minutes and clocked 5,190 steps. My total steps for the month now stand at 147,186. Not bad, considering everything else that’s been going on lately.
