April 2, 2024

Today started as usual around 7:30 AM. By 8:15, I was done with my morning routine and started the day by reading some articles. After that, I joined an early meeting with friends and colleagues. We talked about various topics like the new trend of MCP (Model Context Protocol) and other recent cybersecurity updates from the past week.

Later, I attended the regular security meeting, but it turned out to be quite unproductive. Some of the people there are known for taking credit for others' work, so I decided to leave and skip the rest of the meetings.

Afterward, I started working on some targets, looking for vulnerabilities and doing a bit of hacking with a friend. While searching one of the targets, I discovered a simple IDOR that exposed some rules for products like TM (Transaction Monitor) or AML (Anti Money Laundering). I scraped the raw data and shared it with L, as it could be useful for her.

Only later did I realize that I was still connected to the company's VPN while scraping data from competitors. I felt a bit nervous afterward, but it should be fine since, in India, SOC teams usually don't actively monitor these things. Still, lesson learned.

In the afternoon, I took a nap to recharge.

In the evening, I went for my usual walk. Today's step count: 5,218 steps, bringing the total for this month to 12,125 steps. πŸšΆβ€β™‚οΈ
