February 20, 2024

Today was a bit normal, but not really a good day either. Since no one was home, I slept late around 1 AM and woke up at 8:15 AM, which was later than usual. Since I was already late, I skipped my morning tea.

I joined the daily security meeting, and honestly, I don’t like this person. From now on, I won’t even mention him in my journal.

During the meeting, I got a call from my family saying I had to go to the main road to collect a parcel coming from Bangalore. The bus was supposed to arrive at 10:15 AM, and I had just 20 minutes to reach there. But all the vehicles (bike, car) were in the village. There was another sport bike, but I don’t know how to operate it since it has a unique system.

So I quickly started walking, then had to take an auto-rickshaw. For the first time, I had to pay such a high fare—₹70 for just 2 km. I doubt fares are this high even in metro cities, but since it was an emergency, I had no choice.

Even after rushing, the bus was late, and I had to wait for another 45 minutes. So I was already frustrated in the morning.

After collecting the parcel, I came back home and joined another meeting for testing.

In the afternoon, I took a 1-hour nap, but suddenly I got calls and messages asking me to join a meeting that was scheduled without prior notice. I had to wake up mid-sleep and join the call with my eyes still half-closed. It was just annoying.

Later, I went for my daily walk. Today, I again crossed 7,000 steps, reaching 7,573 steps. I don’t even know how I did it. Maybe it was because of the weather.

Today's evening atmosphere was stunning! The cool breeze, the birds, the sunset, the twilight moment, airplanes making their moves, and their contrails in parallel—everything was just perfect. The air smelled different today, like a fresh scent. I had the best music album on Spotify playing, and I was just walking like nothing else mattered. I wish I could experience this kind of environment every day.

With today’s walk, my total steps for the month are now 112,738.
